Fume incinerator at a roofing plant. It burns fumes created in the process of making “steep” roof asphalt.
Our fume incinerator burns noxious fumes to prevent polluting the atmosphere. Roofing manufacturers are prime users of incinerators. The incinerator operates at 1500 degrees F. About 5 million Btu/hour from incinerating the fumes is recovered, providing secondary heat for asphalt tanks and heating combustion air for the incinerator. (Incinerators are also known as a thermal oxidizers.) Other sizes are also available.
