Heatec designed this HCI helical coil heater to heat cooking oil for food processing. It is a vertical helical coil design. The coil, heater shell and control panel are all made of 304 stainless steel.
The coil is manufactured to meet ASME code. Its vertical configuration allows it to be flushed and thoroughly drained by gravity. The coil is designed for maximum velocity and a low average flux rate. This design minimizes degradation of cooking oils and improves efficiency.
The heater's electrical conduit is PVC-coated. It meets NEMA 4X requirements for waterproofing and corrosion resistance. And it withstands daily cleaning with caustic cleaners.
The control panel also meets NEMA 4X requirements. It is corrosion resistant and designed to withstand daily cleaning with caustic cleaners. Moreover, it protects against windblown dust and rain, splashing water and hose-directed water. All Heatec control panels are UL approved.
