		Can be used to increase the temperature of asphalt cement as it flows through a jacket surrounding finned pipes in the heat exchanger. The finned pipes are heated by hot oil that flows through them. The hot oil must be provided from an external source such as a thermal fluid heater. The heat exchanger can raise the temperature of the asphalt up to 50 degrees F. Typical use is at asphalt terminals to boost the temperature of asphalt cement so it can be mixed with polymers.
