New search feature on Heatec website brings fast acccess to technical information
Heatec recently added a search function to the company's website, www.heatec.com. The search feature makes it easier than ever to access the company's online library of technical information.
The search feature indexes over 400 pages of Heatec's website, including more than 50 technical documents (called Tec-Notes), as well as service, parts and product information. There is a search window directly on Heatec's home page. Visitors can also access the search feature by clicking on the Search button on the left side of the site.
"This way, the search feature is always available, no matter where you are in the website," states Jerry Vantrease, Heatec Construction Sales Manager. "We believe the search feature will be a very useful resource to our customers, especially when they're looking for specific technical information. The Tec-Notes in particular have a lot of useful information on everything from insulation to asphalt tank maintencance," Vantrease says.
Tec-Notes are technical documents that comprise user manuals on Heatec hot oil heaters, asphalt tanks and fuel preheaters. Other Tec-Notes cover topics such as understanding insulation properties, flow direction in 3-way valves, and a warning about trapping hot asphalt. All Tec-Notes are available as free downloads in PDF format. Currently, about 60% of the Tec-Notes are also available in HTML format for online viewing and fast search results. Heatec plans to make all Tec-Notes available in both HTML and PDF formats. The company will continue to add more Tec-Notes to the website as they become available.
