Heatec will display 1/8-scale handmade replicas of their asphalt heating and storage equipment at World of Asphalt 2006. The replicas are part of the highly acclaimed Astec HMA plant replicas that gained worldwide recognition at ConExpo 2005.
“At ConExpo, many visitors were shocked at the authenticity of the replicas,” states Jerry Vantrease, Construction Sales Manager at Heatec. “They’re a great tool because they easily show how the various components of a hot mix asphalt plant are integrated. For Heatec, that means showing customers how heating and storage equipment for asphalt and fuel works in the context of a full plant.”
Among the replicas of Heatec equipment is a hot oil heater skid. Like the actual equipment, the skid is fully packaged with heater, asphalt meter, calibration tank, and control panel. Highly skilled Astec employees built the replica with painstaking detail, based on AutoCAD drawings, photographs, and hands-on experience with the real thing.
