Richard J. (Rick) Dorris has been named President of Heatec. Dorris replaces former president Jim May, who retired in April. Dorris previously worked for Astec as Project Manager in the engineering department.

Before joining Astec in 1999, Dorris served as President of EssTee Corp., where he had worked since the late 1970s. At EssTee Corp., he worked in various part time and full time positions in production, engineering and sales prior to becoming the company’s president in 1990.

Dorris graduated from the University of Tennessee in 1984 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He received his Professional Engineering license in 1990.

Tom Wilkey has been named Executive Vice President of Heatec. Wilkey had previously served as the company’s Vice President of Sales and Marketing. In his new role, Wilkey will lead the Heatec Parts and Service departments in addition to the Sales department. Wilkey has been head of Heatec sales for over 15 years.
