CODE WELDER/FITTER
Applicant must be able to perform calculations and operations with mathematical data, properly use a variety of hand tools and devices, and read and interpret blue prints while joining and repairing metal and other weld material by applying welding techniques. Must be able to layout, install and maintain piping systems with ASME code welds to pass x-ray. Two years experience required. (Second Shift)

WELDER/FITTER with tank and pipe experience
Applicant must be able to build storage tanks and fabricate piping systems. Properly use a variety of hand tools and devices; read and interpret blue prints; and weld material by applying welding techniques. This position will require a weld test; 2” sch 40 open butt (7018) and flat plate (flux core). Four years experience in tank and pipe fabrication, required. (Second Shift)

Drafting Jobs

INVENTOR DRAFTER
Convert 2-D drawings to 3-D using Inventor 3-D software. Draw equipment and piping under the direction of a Designer or Engineer. Draw process and P&ID diagrams. Draw piping systems for Hot Oil, Asphalt, Polymer and Fuel systems. Assist the Director of Engineering and the Engineering Managers in all duties while providing and releasing drawings and BOM’s.

The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate the ability to work with the following computer software packages: AutoDesk Inventor (release 2008 or higher), AutoCad (release 2008 or higher), Microsoft Office and ERP Systems (ie. Visual Manufacturing). Official training or a minimum of 6 months experience with Inventor software is required. Individual must be a Team Player, Self Motivated, Organized, Creative and able to finish assignments in the appropriate time allotted.

PROJECT ENGINEER
Heatec, an Astec Industries Company, is currently looking for a Project/Design Engineer. This person will design industrial heating equipment, define process and P&ID diagrams, participate in work order meetings with internal and external customers, direct Designers and Drafters, check drawings, etc. The Project/Design Engineer will be responsible for every technical aspect of designing custom heaters and ancillary equipment. This person may also be involved with R&D projects and new product development.

A Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline is required. The ideal candidate will have experience in some of the following areas; Pressure Vessel Design & Calculations, Heat Transfer, Fluid Flow, Project Management, Piping Design, Stress analysis, ASME Code, Autodesk Inventor. Experience with Process Heaters, Boilers or Burners would be a plus.

Computer skills are a must. Successful applicant will have experience with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel & Outlook). Knowledge of 3D drawing software, preferably Autodesk Inventor, would be helpful.

Individual must be self motivated and able to prioritize multiple tasks and accomplish all in order to meet various schedules. This person must also be able to allocate time and available resources as needed to complete projects in a timely manner.

Work hours will be M-F, 8-5. Extra hours will be expected to meet deadlines and customer expectations. Some travel (<10%) may be required.
